Elixir Aircraft delivered one of its two-seat training aircraft to Greek Egnatia Aviation flight school on Wednesday at the Aero Friedrichshafen show in Germany. The approved flight school has contracted with the French manufacturer for 12 aircraft to be delivered in 2025 and 2026.

The aircraft, which was on the static display this week, will be flown to the school’s home base of Kavala Amygdaleon Lydia Airfield (LGKM) in Greece after the show. Elixir expects to deliver a total of six aircraft this year, with the remaining six slated for 2026.

The manufacturer's CEO Cyril Champenois said Elixir is experiencing rapid growth, with 10,000 total hours of logged flight time and 33 aircraft delivered, with 70% of these going to flight schools. The company aims to increase production from a current rate of 2-3 to 8 aircraft per month, with three production facilities. It has recently expanded to a fourth production site, has orders for 50-60 aircraft and plans to grow to 200 employees.

“We are reaching 200 people, which is quite a lot when you think when we started, we were three in a garage,” Champenois said. “It’s quite impressive, actually. And we need more. We need to work on how to train those people.”

The company is currently focused on IFR certification and decarbonization efforts
