Yesterday at the Paris Air Show, Airbus Helicopters launched the H Pilot Club, a group for those pilots who fly the manufacturer’s types and that will work along the lines of a sports car owner club. “It will be a link for people sharing the same passion around the world,” chief test pilot Hervé Jammayrac said.
It will first offer an online forum. Later, meetings, demos and visits will be organized, chief technology officer Jean-Brice Dumont added. Civil and military pilots, as well as maintenance technicians, are able to register for H Pilot. Although the club is meant to help pilots and mechanics share their experience, it should not be seen as an exchange for technical issues, a spokesman pointed out.
