FAA's Unmanned Aircraft Proposal Published

Proposal expected to draw a considerable number of comments from business supporters of UAS, as well as aviation safety advocates.

The FAA officially published its Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) FAA-2015-0150 for unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in today’s Federal Register. The controversial rule details the agency’s initiative to regulate the operation of UAS in U.S. domestic airspace and is expected to draw a considerable number of comments from business supporters of UAS, as well as aviation safety advocates. Comments are due by April 24 and can be sent via the federal e-rulemaking portal using docket number FAA-2015-0150.
