The World Aviation Safety Summit, scheduled this year for March 16 to 17 in Dubai, will bring together more than 300 people from airports, airlines, regulatory bodies and the aviation industry. The summit will focus on the collection and sharing of safety information, eliminating cultural and legal barriers to gathering safety data, helping to reduce human error through better use of safety management systems and reinforcing safety. It will also provide a forum for regulators' perspectives on a safety culture. Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (Canso) director general Jeff Poole will deliver the summit’s keynote address on the most pressing issues for aviation safety.
