Boeing has appointed former Saudi Arabian Airlines executive Ahmed Jazzar to the new position of president of Boeing Saudi Arabia, overseeing all the group’s activities in the country. Sales and marketing responsibilities will remain with the various Boeing business units, namely Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Integrated Defense Systems, Connexion by Boeing and Boeing Capital Corp. Jazzar spent 30 years with Saudia, having recently retired as vice president for its technical services division. He holds an electrical engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and also completed the Columbia Senior Executive Program at New York’s Columbia University.
Meanwhile, Michael Probasco has become president of Boeing Middle East Ltd., succeeding Marcus Hurley. The company bases its offices in the Saudi capital Riyadh and represents Boeing’s Integrated Defense Systems division. Probasco once managed Boeing’s F-15C distributed mission training program for the Royal Saudi Air Force.
