Ruag, Rheinland Partner on ATRs
The companies began collaborating on MRO support for the airplane last month.

Ruag Aviation and Rheinland Air Service have begun collaborating on ATR maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) support, the companies announced last month. The combined services “solution” involves landing gear MRO services at Ruag facilities in Interlaken, Switzerland, and dummy, loaner and exchange landing gear sets, along with removal, installation and other aircraft maintenance services by Rheinland Air Service in Mönchengladbach, Germany.

According to the companies, customers will benefit from a more reliable and wider customer support network as well as access to a so-called “one stop shop,” offering “competitive” pricing, transparent cost estimates, project tracking and reporting.

The first ATR-approved MRO network partner in Europe, Rheinland operates a 90,000-sq-ft facility in Mönchengladbach, where it recently built a second hangar with bays for six more ATRs. Along with a $15 million inventory in its warehouse, Rheinland maintains an ATR “part out” service, offering customers access to “a wealth” of rare, hard-to-find parts.
