Rock Seven and FlightAware Partner on Global Fleet Tracking
Information from these systems will be integrated into FlightAware’s system

Rock Seven has entered into an agreement with global flight-tracking and data-provision specialist FlightAware (Booth 4845) of Houston to offer an enhanced flight-tracking service for its customers who use the RockStar and RockFleet units. Information from these systems will be integrated into FlightAware’s system, and Rock Seven users will have access to FlightAware’s live Web-based flight-tracking and the data available on that system.

Rock Seven is a supplier of Iridium-based satellite tracking and communication systems. The RockStar is a hand-held device and has been joined by the RockFleet, a fixed installation that operates as a standalone GPS tracker with features including machine-to-machine data capability and Bluetooth, which allows linking to iOS and Android devices. The services available with these units comes on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Through the new collaboration FlightAware will be able to provide a worldwide tracking solution for less than $500, suitable for operators that do not have integrated cockpit systems. Rock Seven’s customers will be able to use FlightAware data to provide live flight-tracking information.
