Trip support and ground handling group Jetex Flight Support announced a preliminary agreement with Brazilian real estate company JHSF to establish an operations center at the São Paulo area Catarina Executive Airport. Brazil’s first dedicated business aviation airport is set to open in 2016 and is expected to house several FBOs and aircraft maintenance facilities.
Jetex’s expansion into Brazil is the next stage of its strategy to expand its presence in the Americas following the recent opening of its new operations center in Miami.
“The decision to enter the growing Brazilian market was based first and foremost on feedback from current Jetex customers, who voiced a need for the specialized services the firm offers in this emerging market,” said Jetex CEO Adel Mardini.
According to JHSF chief executive Rogério Larceda, the preliminary agreement with Jetex represents a reassurance to other prospective users of Catarina Executive Airport will have the necessary support infrastructure and services.
Jetex (Booth 2659) will provide its full array of support services in the new facility, including trip planning, handling, flight permits, catering, logistics and transportation.
