Million Air Moves to New Flagship FBO

Last month Million Air occupied its new headquarters facility at Houston Hobby Airport. Under construction for approximately a year, the 27,000-sq-foot FBO offers the latest amenities, including the “Million Air Sky Lounge,” an upstairs 800-sq-ft event room with a folding glass curtain wall that opens onto a 753-sq-foot balcony overlooking the airport and ramp. The room features a kitchen area with ice machine, refrigerators and bar area for special events. Six tenant offices have glass doors that open to the lounge, while another four offices are located downstairs. Other features include a dedicated pilots’ lounge with kitchen area, two private snooze rooms, showers and security monitors that allow crewmembers to watch for passenger arrivals through the main gate or lobby as well as a flight-planning room with WSI Weather and radio-to-tower service. A theater room offers stadium-style seating and surround sound, while the main A/V-equipped conference room has seating for 10 plus a fully stocked kitchen/pantry for catered meetings. Two other six-seat multi-media rooms are reserved for tenant use. There are also storage lockers available for tenants and flight departments. Early last year, the FBO doubled the size of the apron to more than 10 acres, allowing handling for aircraft the size of a 767, and installed a new ramp-side line service office with a full galley kitchen and a washer and dryer. A new 22,000-sq-ft hangar was constructed, bringing the available aircraft shelter at the facility to more than 120,000 sq ft, plus an additional 22,500 sq ft of adjoining office space.
