HeliWagon (Booth No. 1428) announced in conjunction with Heli-Expo 2014 this week the first deliveries of its mobile landing dollies to U.S. Army National Guard (ANG) units in New Jersey and Maryland.
Company president Brad Seibold said the New Jersey ANG purchased four 14- by 16-foot dollies, equipped with lights and custom logos, with the Maryland unit taking one. All HeliWagons feature wireless remote control, an onboard charger and powder-coated frames.
βThe National Guard has a storied history of serving and protecting our nation,β Seibold added. βWe are honored that the National Guard selected our HeliWagons to serve their units.β
New Jersey ANG CW4 Eugene Vandergrift said the HeliWagon allows his unit to move its EC145 Lakota helicopters without fear of damage. βWe saw the HeliWagon demonstrated and it had all the capabilities we were looking for,β he added, β[and] we liked that it was a self-powered device that did not require additional tools or apparatus to move the aircraft.β
