Rolls-Royce yesterday recognized Canadian operator Helijet International, which operates daily shuttle flights between Victoria and Vancouver in the Sikorsky S-76A, as the highest time model M250-C30S operator in the world. “[Helijet has] accumulated more than 300,000 flight hours on its fleet,” said Tim McGrath, Rolls-Royce’s vice president for customer business (left).

Since its inception in 1986 Helijet has carried 2 million passengers on its M250-powered helicopters, noted company chairman Alistair MacLennan (center). “It is an extremely reliable engine and we use it in the exact forum that it should be–at sea level, moderate temperature–and we want to thank Rolls-Royce for providing us with safe and reliable transportation over the last 27 years.”
