Embraer last month announced four new suppliers for its second-generation E-Jets, scheduled for a commercial launch some time this year and service entry in 2018.

The Brazilian manufacturer named Intertechnique, a company belonging to the Zodiac Aerospace Group, as the supplier for systems associated with engine and APU fuel feed, pressure refueling, fuel transfer, fuel tank inerting and ventilation, and fuel gauging and control. Embraer chose Crane Aerospace & Electronics to supply the electronic control module for the landing gear and its proximity sensors; proximity sensors for doors, landing gear and ground spoilers; and brake control systems, including the electronic control module and valves. Embraer recruited the Triumph Group to provide fuselage segments, rudders and elevators, while Aernnova Aerospace has agreed to supply the vertical and horizontal stabilizers.
