Onboard Systems Touts Line of Cargo Hook Kits

Onboard Systems (Booth No. N4431) is exhibiting its range of external load equipment, including a new Bell 407 hydraulic cargo hook kit, at Heli-Expo ’13.

The new kit, which may be installed for either right- or left-hand pilot operation, uses the company’s proprietary pin load cell technology, which features a single attachment point to replace the conventional two-hole load cell linkage.

The more tightly coupled pin load cell reduces the potential for torque stress on the airframe and also offers improved ground clearance. Onboard Systems uses the pin load cell technology throughout its line of cargo attachment systems, including hook kits for the Bell 206L.

Onboard Systems is also spotlighting its Bell A&B cargo hook kit featuring the Talon LC Keeperless hook to accommodate a range of load ring sizes. A gusset design optimizes weight distribution throughout the airframe and saves total system weight.

The company also offers the Talon MC release lever upgrade kit, which includes a manual release level on the side plate. The hook lock indicator has also been redesigned to make easier for ground crews to verify the hook is securely attached.
