Following seven years of supplying airfoil vanes for Rolls-Royce and its RR250 turboshaft, India’s Kwality Products (Booth No. C3508) is gauging interest in producing whole turbine disks. “We are looking at the reaction at Heli-Expo ’13, and thinking of approaching Rolls-Royce to do the entire assembly,” Kwality Products CEO Anand Uttarkar told AIN. “I think there’s a huge cost benefit to moving production of the entire vane assembly to India.” Uttarkar added that the company has produced approximately 300,000 airfoil vanes for Rolls-Royce’s vendors on the RR250.
