The newest Cessna Citation Sovereign will benefit from having a Northrop Grumman Litef (Booth No. 1423) fiber-optic, gyro-compassing LCR-100 attitude heading and reference system as a standard feature. The announcement also made note that Cessna customers who need more capability can have their Sovereigns delivered with the LCR-100N hybrid navigator, which meets more precise required navigation performance standards and offers extended coasting performance that enables the aircraft navigation system to maintain its accuracy and continue to provide navigation information in the event of GPS signal loss. Certification of the Citation Sovereign is expected in early 2013. “Early flight tests have indicated a smooth integration of our systems with the avionics suite in the aircraft and demonstrated the high-performance capabilities of our products,” said Eckehardt Keip, managing director for Northrop Grumman Litef.
