Delta Air Lines’ maintenance division, Delta TechOps, has signed a five-year exclusive agreement with Air Canada to provide repair and overhaul services to the airline’s entire fleet of Pratt & Whitney PW4060 engines. The flat-rate agreement for time and materials covers Air Canada’s 18 PW4060s and four spares, three of which are already located at Delta TechOps. The engines power nine of Air Canada’s Boeing 767s. Air Canada operates a main fleet of more than 200 aircraft, including the Boeing 777 and 767, Airbus A330 and A320 and Embraer E170 and E190. With approximately $500 million in revenue last year, Delta TechOps claims to be the largest airline maintenance, repair and overhaul provider in North America. In addition to providing maintenance and engineering support for Delta’s 750 aircraft, Delta TechOps serves 150 other aviation and airline customers around the world. The MRO specializes in engines, components and hangar and line maintenance. The company employs some 9,600 maintenance professionals.
