EMS Aviation of Moorestown, N.J., brought its Aspire satellite-based, in-flight connectivity systems to Ebace, including its new AirMail portable e-mail product and a touch-screen, color handset.
EMS began shipping its Aspire 200 in North America this spring and the first installation is in a Hawker 4000. Additional installations on a Citation Sovereign and several other aircraft are expected by the end of summer.
Aspire delivers voice and data connectivity to small- and medium-size business aircraft, using standard wiring configurations and interfaces to support either Inmarsat or Iridium components.
EMS plans to expand Aspire in phases and is pursuing additional STCs for several other aircraft, including the Challenger 300, Cessna Citation XLS and Citation XLS+, and the Falcon 2000.
