Comlux plans to offer access to remote medical care for passengers on all its charter and managed aircraft. The Swiss aviation services provider recently signed an agreement with MedAire to offer a standard, fleet-wide medical package, including 24/7 access to emergency care doctors, equiping aircraft with on-board medical kits, and aviation medical training for 125 pilots and flight attendants.
The package will provide access to emergency care doctors via MedAire’s MedLink Global Response Center. The International SOS company handles more than 18,000 in-flight medical cases a year. Doctors in the system will remotely assess the health of the passenger or crewmember and make medical recommendations using medications and supplies from the first aid kit or emergency medical kit on board the aircraft.
On the ground, Comlux crew and travelers who are at their destinations will also have access to 24/7 medical and travel advice and assistance through a co-branded Comlux/MedAire membership card.
