FlightSafety International (Booth No. 4606) announced here yesterday that its new Eurocopter EC135 simulator is scheduled to enter service by the end of this year at the company’s Rotorcraft Learning Center in Lafayette, La. This is the first EC135 simulator designed by FlightSafety to win level-D approval from the FAA.

The new simulator will feature FlightSafety’s 60-inch electric motion and control loading system, which contributes to the system’s fidelity, enhanced performance and increased reliability, and offers environmental advantages compared with previous generation motion systems.

The EC135 simulator will also include FlightSafety’s Vital X visual system, providing a 60- by 200-degree field of view. Further, it provides continuous global high-resolution satellite imagery capable of presenting environmental conditions experienced during all phases of flight, from taxi and takeoff to landing.
