Hawker Beechcraft senior vice president of sales Brad Hatt is leaving the company as of February 8, according to a letter sent to employees last Thursday by executive vice president Shawn Vick. Hatt was president and general manager of the Hawker business, then in March 2006 became president of global commercial sales and later president of commercial aircraft. Last June he became senior v-p of sales. Hatt is a pilot and has worked for Hawker Beechcraft and its earlier iterations for 18 years. “Brad has been a highly valued part of the business and selling organization for the last 18 years,” Vick wrote in the letter. “He was instrumental in the sale of the business and the establishment of Hawker Beechcraft in 2007 as an independent company. His many contributions have positioned our company for future success.” During his tenure as president of commercial aircraft, Hatt was a key player in announcing plans for the Premier II upgrade to the Premier IA light jet, which is now scheduled to enter service in late 2012 or early 2013.
