<p>Former Air Line Pilots Association president Randy Babbitt was confirmed for a five-year term as FAA Administrator on May 21, taking the reins from acting FAA Administrator Lynn Osmus. She had replaced acting FAA Administrator Robert Sturgell, who resigned January 16 after failing to win Senate confirmation to become permanent Administrator. Babbitt hit the ground running, backing pilot training reforms and new fatigue rules.</p>
