Preliminary Report: Commander damaged in landing mishap
Aero Commander 690, Cedar City, Utah, Oct.

Aero Commander 690, Cedar City, Utah, Oct. 21, 2009–N690TR, operated by Kolab Canyon Air Services, suffered damage to its lower fuselage when the right main landing gear collapsed during landing rollout at Cedar City Regional Airport (CDC). The pilot told NTSB investigators that he received indication that the gear was not fully extended during the approach at his destination and it failed to lock even after he performed the emergency procedures outlined in the aircraft’s flight manual. The pilot decided to return to CDC, where the twin turboprop skidded off the runway after landing. The sole-occupant pilot was uninjured.
