Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) here yesterday signed memorandums of understanding with three German companies for the establishment of production facilities at the Aerospace Cluster at Al Ain, in the eastern region of the Abu Dhabi Emirate.
The cooperation agreement with Aircraft Electronic Engineering is aimed at the establishment of a production site for electronic and avionics equipment, and the development of electronic and electrical solutions for avionics systems. Aerotech Peissenberg will leverage its expertise in complex components for aero engines and industrial gas turbines to set up an engineering parts manufacturing center, while ADAC and Augsburg-based MT Aerospace will pursue opportunities in the aero structures field.
HE Khalifa Mohamed Al Mazrouei, chairman of ADAC, said, “Partnerships such as these facilitate knowledge sharing which can ultimately further our common goals and strengthen the industry.” He also affirmed ADAC’s commitment to developing a center of excellence in Al Ain for the aerospace sector.
