Eurocopter (Booth No. 2754) has opened a customer service center in Hong Kong to better serve the more than 1,200 customers in the Asia-Pacific region. The helicopter manufacturer opened the first customer service facility in France in October 2007.
The center will be staffed by 12 local professionals and will gradually take calls from the office in France, according to a company spokesman. By mid-year, the center will be equipped to manage 70 percent of the routine spares and AOG requests, as well as 80 to 90 percent of the calls related to parts-by-the-hour parts.
“The setting up of this facility in Hong Kong and the choice to entrust its operation to a dedicated local team is perfectly in line with Eurocopter’s global service strategy,” said Derek Sharples, Eurocopter’s executive vice president of customer support. “Eurocopter’s strength has always resided in its ability to tap into local expertise and resources and adapt to the different business, cultural and social practices of each country.”
