The XL Go VideoProbe by GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies weighs only 3.8 pounds (14.3 pounds with the carrying case) but offers high-resolution video in a compact easy-to-carry package. It can be used with AC power or cordless, thanks to a lithium-ion battery that is available in two sizes: 5,100 or 10,200 mAh. The sensitive optics are protected by a braided tungsten insertion tube with 360-degree articulation. The XL Go optics system uses energy-saving and cool-running LED technology to transmit light through the fiber-optic bundle to the camera head, which has a high-resolution 444,000-pixel one-sixth-inch color CCD protected by a titanium housing. On the other end of the XL Go, the video is displayed on a 3.7-inch VGA LCD, and images can be saved in jpeg, bitmap and video mpeg 4 format on the XL Go’s one-gigabyte internal flash drive. Two USB ports are available for additional storage and data transfer. The XL Go is housed in a rugged impact-resistant bumper-protected casing and meets Mil-Std-810F standards.
