“People have been asking me, ‘Can you tell me where Acrohelipro is?’” Donald Jackson said Monday afternoon, right after making the official announcement that the Richmond, British Columbia-based helicopter MRO provider and modification specialist now lives under the Vector Aerospace umbrella.
Jackson, executive chairman of Vector Aerospace, said the name change is part of an international consolidation under the Vector brand to pool the resources and capabilities of several entities to become “a low-cost global producer of helicopter services.” The former Acrohelipro, now Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services, joins Vector’s MRO assets Atlantic Turbines International, Sigma Aerospace and the soon-to-be-acquired UK-based Defense Aviation Repair Agency (DARA) under the Vector Aerospace banner.
Dave McGrath, Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services marketing manager, noted that efficiencies resulting from the consolidation of resources, knowledge and skills will produce enhanced levels of quality, service and customer satisfaction through shorter turnaround times and greater component availability throughout the organization.
Helicopter Services has engine overhaul facilities in Dallas and Van Nuys, Calif., in addition to the British Columbia site.
