Air Concepts International is a small company with great expectations. Tucked away with a half-dozen other businesses in a nondescript building across the street from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, it is slowly but surely expanding its market presence as a helicopter completion and refurbishment specialist.
At Heli-Expo, the Air Concepts expertise is on prominent display in the form of two AgustaWestland AW139 interiors, one at the AgustaWestland booth (No. 3039) and the other at the Aero Toy Store exhibit (No. 2859).
Both helicopters are equi-pped with the Air Concepts noise-reduction Cocoon wall panel system. According to company president Pat Cesaro, the package reduces cabin noise to 69 dB. It has been certified for installation in the AW139 in either the one- or two-door sliding door configuration.
Air Concepts has developed a number of proprietary systems, among them: a cabin step kit that can be manually or electrically extended and stowed, an enhanced-vision camera installation, dual-pane limo window system, low-light camera package and a digitally controlled cabin environment system.
With an established reputation for VIP interior finish, the next step for Air Concepts, said Cesaro, is βto capitalize on that experience and develop a new generation of EMS helicopter completions.β
