Recession? Economic downturn? Texas Aviation Services isn’t buying it.
The Fort Worth, Texas-based helicopter and aircraft completions and MRO specialist is at Booth No. 3819 celebrating a record year of revenues and strong backlog, while plunging into 2008 with plans for facility enhancements and hiring. Two year-end deliveries of Bell 206 completions for clients in Mexico capped the 36-year-old company’s already record revenue figures for last year. One Bell 206 went to Scala, which buys and leases aircraft for offshore and corporate customers, and the other was delivered to Promotora Royal Home, one of Mexico’s largest home builders and realty firms.
Said Tim Woodard, TAS president, “We anticipate quite a bit of new hiring in 2008 to keep up with our backlog of growth already booked.” TAS currently occupies 140,000 sq ft at Meacham Field.
