Yonkers, N.Y.-based Crestwood Technology Group (CTG) has intoduced a so-called Authent-Assure program to ensure that military, defense and aerospace contractors receive genuine parts and equipment in response to a marketplace that has become “flooded with counterfeit parts.”

CTG announced late last year that as part of the program, each of its five quality assurance personnel has received certification as Independent Distributors of Electronics Association certified professional inspectors.

CTG is also the only parts distributor of its kind with quality certifications in ISO 9000, AS 9120 and ANSI/ESD, according to company president Denise Gilchrist.
“Counterfeit parts may lead to loss of lives and weakened defense,” she said. “CTG’s counterfeit avoidance practices and authentication processes protect our clients, our clients’ customers and the men and women who depend on their products.”
