UK-based logistics company All Metal Services (AMS) has turned its attention to China and India as it expands its operation to supply metallic raw materials beyond its existing bases in the UK and France.

The company (Stand W332C) plans to open a new warehouse in Xi’an, China, by mid-2008 and an office in Bangalore, India, earlier in the year, as it pursues a philosophy of locating service centers strategically close to key customers. AMS’ dedicated Airbus service center “lends itself to high levels of customer focus and continuous on time delivery performance,” according to Martyn Brown, vice-president, procurement–materials, Airbus UK.
