Industry Veteran Heads Up Grob’s U.S.

Industry Veteran Heads Up Grob’s U.S. Ops Claude Chidiac, who held senior positions with Bombardier and started as a consultant for Grob Aerospace in November last year, is now acting president of Grob’s U.S. operations. He is working in offices at Pease International Tradeport, the former Pease Air Force Base, in Portsmouth, N.H., where Grob, developer of the SPn all-composite light business jet, has opened its North American headquarters.

Working with Chidiac at Pease is Cary Brown, who heads up Grob customer support in the U.S. Eventually some 30 employees will be working in the office.

Interestingly, Alpha Flying, which manages the PlaneSense fractional program, and has ordered 25 SPns, plans to move from its current location in Manchester, N.H., into
a newly constructed facility at Pease by November 1.

Grob Aerospace (Booth No. 7365) is headquartered in Zurich and has manufacturing and assembly facilities in Tussenhausen-Mattsies, Germany, where it maintains its own airfield.
