Michael Scheeringa is the new COO of Cleveland-based Flight Options, with responsibilities for the overall operations, maintenance, procurement and customer care for the fractional provider. He was most recently v-p of the Express division at US Airways. Also at Flight Options, David Davies was promoted to chief information officer, with responsibilities for all aspects of information technology, systems, communications and infrastructure.
Alexandre Monnier is the new general manager of Bombardier Skyjet. Monnier has responsibility for the unit’s business strategy and major functional areas, including sales, marketing, customer care, flight operations and product development. He was most recently director of marketing and business development at Bombardier Flexjet.
Burbank, Calif.-based TWC Aviation named Robert Oliver as general manager. Oliver was president of several Part 135 and Part 91 flight departments. TWC Aviation is a privately owned, fully independent company that provides jet charter, aircraft management, sales and maintenance services to companies, organizations and individuals.
Peter Wright Jr. was promoted to vice chairman of West Chester, Pa.-based Keystone Helicopter. Wright began his career at Keystone in 1968. He was appointed secretary/treasurer in 1970, vice president in 1973 and president in 1985. Wright was honored in December with the company’s leadership award.
The General Aviation Manufacturers Association announced the promotion of Ronald Swanda to senior v-p of operations. He was v-p of operations. GAMA also promoted Walter Desrosier to v-p of engineering and maintenance from director of engineering and maintenance.
Joseph Wilson was promoted to executive v-p of White Plains, N.Y.-based Safe Flight Instrument, a manufacturer of aircraft instrumentation and control systems. Wilson was previously v-p of operations for Safe Flight.
Overland Park, Kan.-based Multi Service named Gordon Berturelli to international business development. Berturelli is a director of the Canadian Business Aviation Association.
Signature Flight Support named David Best as managing director of Europe.
Best is focusing on expanding Signature’s FBO network throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Also at Signature, Geoffrey Nuneman was appointed regional resource manager for the eastern region.
Cessna Aircraft promoted David Brant to senior v-p of product engineering, with responsibilities for new aircraft creation, development, design, interiors, flight test and certification, as well as product improvements for all aircraft in production and in service. Brant, who will also serve as a member of Cessna’s senior leadership team, was director of engineering flight test and product safety. Also at Cessna, Don Beverlin was promoted to v-p of supply management. He was director of strategic sourcing for the Systems Commodity Group.
Executive Jet Management opened a new charter services office at the San Jose Center at San Jose International Airport, Calif. Amanda North, who recently joined the company as a regional vice president of charter services, and Beth Stebenne, the company’s charter service manager, will lead the office. North was founder and CEO of Ascend Aviation, a charter brokerage firm providing aviation services to clients in northern California.
Mike Guina joined The Air Charter Guide as v-p of sales and business development. Guina was previously employed by Air Partner.
Teterboro, N.J.-based The Air Group, a full-service aircraft management company, named Steve Barlage as v-p of regional sales and general manager of the company’s New York office. He was most recently director of regional sales for Boeing Business Jets in the eastern and southern U.S. and eastern Canada.
Leonard Luke is v-p for homeland security and government business for Broomfield, Colo.-based Pilatus Aircraft. Luke is a former senior-level manager in the aviation division of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Pat Aherne was named v-p of marketing and business development for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for AAR. He was previously in charge of AAR’s London-based sales office.
Rob Mauracher was promoted to general manager of Bombardier Business Aviation Services’ Tucson service center. Mauracher joined Bombardier Aerospace in February 2002 to establish a new center of excellence in Montreal to support out-of-production Bombardier aircraft.
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada-based Mid-Canada Mod Center named Larry Martyniuk as avionics sales manager. He was most recently a field service engineer for Rockwell Collins.
Gulfstream has appointed Matt Hartnett as v-p of pre-owned sales. For the past three years he has been selling business jets for O’Gara Aviation in Atlanta. Also, Gulfstream Product Support has realigned its sales teams with the promotion of Steve DeLoach, Doc Palm and Brian Schnak to directors of sales and the hiring of John Cooreman and Mark Fischer as national avionics sales managers.
NBAA recently welcomed Dina Green as manager of seminars. Her responsibilities include assisting in the planning and implementation of the NBAA seminar program and informational sessions at the organization’s annual meeting and convention, EBACE and LABACE. Green reports to Sandy Wirtz, director of seminars. Before joining NBAA, Green was senior manager of communications for the National Aircraft Resale Association. In other NBAA news, board treasurer Jeff Lee has been named president of the Westchester Aviation Association, replacing Berl Brechner. Lee is director of flight operations for IBM.
Wheeling, Ill.-based Palwaukee Service Center named three new managers. Tom Wyman is manager of the avionics department. Peter Gioviano is project manager. Bob Lavallee is services manager.
Todd Duncan, grandson of Duncan Aviation founder Donald Duncan, was named vice chairman of the company. Todd will assist his father, chairman Robert Duncan, with the long-term strategic direction of the company by helping to chair meetings of Duncan’s board of advisors and participating in customer, vendor and industry activities. Also at Duncan, Chuck Eighmy was promoted to avionics systems engineer and Gerry Riffle was promoted to the engine service sales team. Eighmy was most recently an avionics installations team leader.
Stephen Friedrich is the new director of business development for the corporate aircraft business of Rolls-Royce. He succeeded Peter Turner, who accepted a position with International Aero Engines. Friedrich was previously v-p of sales and finance for Rolls-Royce North America.
Reno, Nev.-based McKechnie Aerospace named Craig Corey as director of marketing for engines. He was previously manager of technical support shops and machine shop business unit manager for Northwest Airlines.
Ben Coale II was promoted to general manager for Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, N.Y. He was senior airport operations manager.
Everett, Wash.-based Boundary Layer Research promoted Mike Carpenter to general aviation fixed-wing manager.
Montreal-based CMC Electronics appointed William Allison as chairman of the board of directors. He was most recently v-p and general manager of Northrop Grumman’s navigation systems division.
Greg Kennedy is the new executive director of the American Helicopter Museum and Education Center. He has served as director of the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas; the American Airlines C.R. Smith Museum at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport and the Space Center in Alamogordo, N.M.
Chesterfield, Mo.-based Aviation Material and Technical Support (Avmats) named Bill Ousley as its Falcon program manager. His primary emphasis is on the technical aspects of work scope completion, as well as the daily operational efforts.
Merrimack, N.H.-based Kollsman named Randy Moore as executive v-p and general manager. He replaced Roger Sutherland, who left the firm. Moore joined the company from Kaman Aerostructures & PlasticsFab, where he was v-p and general manager.
Diana Bross has joined Corporate Rotable & Supply to assist the repair control department. Her responsibilities include repair administration, expediting parts and vendor monitoring. Bross was most recently sales administrator at the Aero Toy Store in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Winsome Lenfert was recently promoted to assistant manager of the Detroit Airport District office for the FAA in Romulus, Mich.
