One of the helicopters gracing Eurocopter’s static display here at the Paris Air Show is a bright red-and-yellow EC 135 belonging to Norsk Luftambulanse (Norwegian Air Ambulance). The air medical helicopter is the company’s eighth EC 135. It also operates three BO 105 CBS helicopters and has an EC 145 on order, with delivery expected in October. The aircraft on display was formally handed over yesterday afternoon at a ceremony attended by officials of the foundation that owns Norsk Luftambulanse. The emergency medical services company operates nine helicopter bases in Norway and two fixed-wing air ambulance bases, one in Sweden and the other in Denmark. Eurocopter has delivered more than 400 EC 135s since it introduced the model in 1996.
