DynCorp International and Temsco Helicopters have scheduled a 12:30 p.m. press conference today to announce their partnership to install and certify the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6C-67D turboshaft engine on the Bell 205A-1.
Temsco Helicopters will provide the B205A-1 airframe to DynCorp, which will conduct the design, test and STC program, expected to be completed early next year. The company is a Part 135 operator based in Ketchikan, Alaska, that has provided helicopter support and services for a wide variety of rotary-wing operations since 1959.
DynCorp International, with more than a half-century of service to commercial and military operations, has conducted more than 35 aviation programs involving more than 4,000 aircraft.
