Landmark Aviation has completed a $2 million hangar and office facility at its FBO on Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). The addition includes another 13,500 sq ft of space for aircraft storage and maintenance, a new three-bay ground equipment support hangar and 4,800 sq ft of office space.
The company also announced it is authorized to perform retrofit installations of
the Honeywell GTCP36-150 auxiliary power unit (APU) on Challenger 601s and 604s. Landmark’s maintenance facilities at Los Angeles International Airport and Bush Field
at Augusta, Ga., will provide the installations.
“The new capability is an addition to our strong legacy of APU service. We have provided APU hot-section inspection and service at our operations for more than 15 years,” said Bob Sundin, Landmark vice president for airframe operations. “Challenger operators now have an option to complete this retrofit together with scheduled engine or airframe maintenance at Landmark’s full-service operations at Los Angeles and Augusta.”
Landmark Aviation has four major MRO centers–Los Angeles, Augusta, Houston and Springfield. Each site is an authorized Honeywell APU hot-section inspection facility. The company’s Augusta service center is a full-service APU repair center with hot-section, repair and overhaul capability, including a test cell on-site for the Honeywell GTCP36-100 and 150 APUs. Landmark also maintains a large pool of 36-100 and 36-150 APU rentals and spares.
