Bombardier has named TAG Farnborough Engineering and Gold Air International of Biggin Hill Airport aircraft-on-ground/line maintenance facilities. TAG will support the Bombardier Challenger and Global, and Gold Air International the Learjet. The two bring to 11 the number of Bombardier business aircraft service facilities in Europe.
Bombardier is also doubling the size of its factory-owned service center in Dallas and reports that the project is on schedule with the recent completion of the concrete floor for the new 52,500-sq-ft hangar at Love Field.
Designed to accommodate Bombardier’s Challenger and Global, the facility is scheduled to open in December. The new building will also provide an additional 45,000 sq ft of back shops and office space for support staff. The expansion will increase maintenance capacity in Dallas by more than 60 percent.
