Metro Aviation has delivered an Airbus Helicopters EC135 to Health First in Melbourne, Florida.

A new Airbus HCare support contract will cover Air Methods fleet of 80 EC135 light twins.

H135-family global fleet has accumulated a total of more than 4.5 million flight hours since service entry of the first EC135 helicopter in 1996.

Airbus said the technologies being tested are “transversal,” meaning not specifically meant for any one particular helicopter model.

With different levels of completion, Airbus Helicopters wants to make the most of a steady market in private and business rotorcraft.
