EBAA Elects Wiese To Succeed Long-time Chair Baviera
Baviera has led the board since 2004.

The European Business Aviation Association board of governors elected Juergen Wiese, head of BMW Flight Services, to become its next chairman. Wiese was named to a three-year renewable term. He succeeds outgoing chairman Rodolfo Baviera, who has held the role for four consecutive terms.

Baviera, who heads up Eurofly, joined the EBAA board in 1998 and became chairman in 2004. He will continue to serve on the board. EBAA and NBAA recognized Baviera during the most recent EBACE with the European Business Aviation Award for his dedication to the industry, calling him “one of the giants in this industry.”

"It has been a privilege to work alongside my friend and outgoing chairman Rodolfo; and the board, Secretariat and I share a deep appreciation for Rodolfo’s contributions to the EBAA over many years,” Wiese said. “These are exciting, if challenging, times for business aviation, and I am looking forward to my new responsibilities; protecting the interests of our members and stakeholders and helping develop this key part of the aviation infrastructure for the benefit of Europe as a whole.”
