Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. (Hall 3 D108) is displaying two helicopters at this year’s Paris Air Show that are key to expanding the company’s international footprint, executives said. The S-70i Black Hawk, exhibited outside the United Technologies Corp. chalet A344, is making its first appearance at a major international airshow.

Boeing may not be saying much about the configuration of the KC-46 aerial tanker, but Raytheon revealed that it will be protecting the next U.S. Air Force tanker. The company announced a contract from Boeing to supply ALR-69A radar-warning receivers and anti-jam GPS receivers. The ALR-69A has previously been fitted to Lockheed Martin C-130s and F-16s.

BAE Systems brings its Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) to the Paris Air Show seeking to extend the life of its hugely successful trainer, which has already trained around 20,000 pilots. There are plenty of opportunities for the Hawk AJT, including the potentially massive T-X requirement for a T-38 replacement for the U.S. Air Force.

Lockheed Martin test pilot Dan Canin flew the 12th “weight-optimized” F-35 Lightning II test airframe on May 21, completing the allotted trials batch. CF-3, the third of the F-35C carrier versions, is now undergoing initial trials before joining two other F-35Cs and four F-35B STOVL test aircraft at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Md., later this year.
