As part of a broader customer support initiative, Breeze-Eastern says it has made significant (54-percent) reductions in overhaul and repair turnaround times over the past year. It is now expanding its customer support organization with new leadership, an expanded team and a new 24-hour support line. Breeze-Eastern designs and manufactures lifting and pulling devices for helicopters and military cargo aircraft, including rescue hoists, winches, cargo hooks and weapon-lifting systems.
London-based Andrew Winch Designs has created an interior for super-yacht owners who want their AW189 to have the same “level of detail and entertainment technology” as their ships. The cabin features six full seats enhanced with built-in “whisper-dish” noise-cancellation systems. A glass dividing bulkhead, situated between the cabin and cockpit, displays flight information and entertainment.
Breeze-Eastern of Whippany, N.J., announced that the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) has almost completed upgrading the rescue hoists of more than 100 HH-65 multi-mission cutter helicopters with Breeze-Eastern’s reactive overload clutch. The clutch is a next-generation improvement, according to the company, and provides a significant safety advantage over slip-clutch technology.
