Jet Aviation Singapore is constructing a new hangar at Seletar Aerospace Park slated to be completed in early February next year. The new 100,900-sq-ft structure will triple the size of the current facility, and it will have two floors providing 43,700 sq ft of space for shops and offices. The new facility will also add 100,965 sq ft of apron area.
The new construction, which is alongside Jet Aviation Singapore’s current maintenance and FBO operation, will be unveiled at an opening celebration at the Singapore Airshow in February.
Airbus Corporate Jet Centre has strengthened its Asian market position with the signing of a contract to design and outfit an executive Airbus ACJ319.
With a luxurious interior described by the Toulouse, France-based center as a subtle combination of Asian culture, innovative technology and modern design, the creation by ACJC Design Studio head Sylvain Mariat will give the customer “a very special home and office in the sky,” said ACJC CEO Benoit Defforge.

The Airbus Corporate Jet Center (ACJC), the European consortium’s bizliner completion center in Toulouse, France, is here at EBACE (Booth 7040) presenting a new cabin concept. Engineers at the facility have also found ways to cut weight from its cabin interiors.
The Airbus Corporate Jet Center (ACJC), Airbus’s bizliner completion center in Toulouse, has found ways to cut cabin weight on the ACJ320s and ACJ319s it outfits with luxury interiors. It is also unveiling, this month at the EBACE 2013 show in Geneva, a new cabin concept.
The weight reduction, “on the order of 10 percent, or between 1,100 and 1,500 pounds,” according to CEO Benoît Defforge, was the result of “redesign[ed] furniture fittings,” solutions inspired by serial production (as opposed to customized cabins) and use of lighter composite materials for the furniture itself.
