At EBACE this week, Tailwind Capital unveiled the first of five Bombardier CRJ conversions it plans to sell to business aviation customers. Called the Hemisphere 200XR, the airplane will go to Dutch concern Solidair outfitted with a 15-passenger cabin and an FAA-certified fuel system that extends range out to 3,000 nm.

Piper Aircraft has announced 20th-anniversary models of its Malibu Mirage piston single and Malibu Meridian turboprop-single. Besides a commemorative logo and paint scheme, the milestone also includes some special pricing packages. The original piston-powered Malibu first hit the market in 1984 as Piper’s first pressurized, cabin-class single.
Rockwell Collins has announced its new Tailwind 300 satellite-direct television system, which it promotes as “ideal for the super-midsize and larger aircraft.” The system is listed at $200,000 for the hardware, uninstalled.
