Susan Sheets Brogan, a business aviation industry veteran and former president of the National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA), has joined the JetNet iQ team as director of special programs. JetNet iQ is the company’s forecasting and advisory service for business aviation. On October 30 during the NBAA Convention, Brogan and the other JetNet iQ staff will give a briefing on the current state of the business aircraft market and a forecast for next year.

Aviation data supplier JetNet announced the latest results of its IQ research NBAA 2011 in Las Vegas, and the results should come as good news to those awaiting a bizav turnaround. The company, whose surveys involve 80 countries, 1,500 operators and 3,500 aircraft, forecasts that 11,381 business jets valued at $258 billion will be delivered between now and 2020. The total includes 625 this year, 785 next year and 978 in 2013.

In January, the company launched its new JetNet iQ survey program and used the more than 1,000 global responses it received, combined with product life cycle, market value analysis and other economic indicators, to shape its forecast.

CRM (customer relationship management) is a Web-based contact management system for the company’s Evolution customers; iQ is a forecasting and “premium advisory service” for business aviation professionals.

Helicopter engine manufacturer Turbomeca is working on a 50-50 basis with Chinaπs Avic Engine on the WZ16 turboshaft that will power the Avicopter AC352 medium twin, formerly known as the Z-15. Avic Engine is in charge of the compressor and accessory gearbox, Turbomeca officials told AIN. The France-based company is responsible for the combustor, turbines and control system.
