Nav Canada officially opened a new ATC tower at Kelowna International Airport in British Columbia. The facility has better visibility and uses the latest technology, according to Nav Canada. The new tower is located on the east side of the airfield, directly across from the terminal.

Just in time for the cold winter months, Million Air Toronto at Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport (CYKZ) has completed its new 38,600-sq-ft hangar at a cost of C$3.5 million. The seven-month project started last December and was finished in July. One of the hangar’s two 17,000-sq-ft bays is leased by Flight Exec, a charter/management company that relocated from Toronto City Centre Airport.

Nav Canada, the nation’s provider of ATC services, plans to start building a new control tower at Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport this summer. The tower, expected to become operational next June, will be located on the south side of the airport, opposite the side of the existing facility built in 1967.
