The FAA is proposing an airworthiness directive for variants of the Bombardier Challenger 600 and 601. There have been several reported incidents of jamming/malfunctioning of the left-hand engine thrust control mechanism on the affected airplanes.

Cleveland-based MRO Constant Aviation is offering a complete Beechjet thrust-reverser maintenance program that includes repair and overhaul, free loaners and an exchange program with no over-and-above charges.
“We’ve found that the thrust reversers are one of the most common issues Beechjet operators are dealing with, so we’ve invested in several units to be exchanges and loaners. We can repair the full assembly or just the thrust-reverser doors [for 20 percent less cost than competitors] and with a faster turnaround time,” said Stephen Maiden, president of Constant Aviation.

Brazil-based GP Aerospace is trying to raise $10 million to build a flying prototype of the company’s GP210 very light jet. The GP210 is a light twin-turbine VLJ powered by two 740-pound-thrust Price Induction DGen390 turbofans, which are currently under development. Performance targets for the four-seat twin are 4,300 pounds mtow, maximum altitude 25,000 feet and high-speed cruise of 276 knots.
