CMC Electronics (Stand E230) is providing its new TacView portable mission display for AC-130 gunships operated by U.S. Air Force special operations units in conflicts such as Afghanistan and Iraq. The displays come in a dual installation for paperless cockpit operations, including aircraft data and procedures manuals, interactive electronic charts and improved situational awareness, using USAF’s Falcon- View mission planning system.

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has selected E-A-R Specialty Composites as its partner in developing the cabin thermal/ acoustic package for its new Lineage 1000 bizliner. According to Brian Joyal, business development manager for the Indianapolis-based company, the customized package will incorporate new materials and new technology.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries last month received board authority to offer to potential customers the proposed MRJ regional jets, powered by an engine line known as the Geared Turbofan under development by Pratt & Whitney.
