Signature Flight Support has purchased a majority share of Starlink Aviation’s FBO at Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (CYUL). In 2010 Starlink entered into a licensing agreement with Signature that saw the FBO become co-branded and gave it access to Signature’s sales, marketing and customer service programs and proprietary employee training.

Signature Flight Support announced today that it will purchase a majority share of Starlink Aviation’s FBO at Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. The acquisition is subject to “customary closing conditions” and expected to be completed during the third quarter, Signature said. Under the agreement, Starlink Aviation will retain full ownership and continue to operate the real estate and aircraft management, aircraft maintenance, corporate shuttle and aircraft charter services. For the past two years, Starlink Aviation has been a Signature network location.

Under the terms of an agreement signed by Starlink Aviation and Amax International Aircraft Leasing, Starlink will complete a major maintenance project on a Bombardier CRJ200. The project is anticipated to create eight to 10 new positions at the company’s Montreal location.

Embraer has selected Starlink Aviation to be its first authorized service center in Canada for the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300. The Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport operation will provide Phenom owners aircraft management and maintenance, FBO services
and charter operations.

BAE Systems Aircraft Services Group is looking to build on the success of the deal it forged at the NBAA show last year, when it announced a lease agreement for 10 pre-owned Jetstream 32 twin-turboprops to Corporate Aircraft Partners (CAP). The Cartersville, Ga.-based operator has just received the sixth aircraft for its fractional-leasing program. The 19-seat commuters were converted to 10- to 12-seat configurations for the new service.
