The FAA has authorized American Eurocopter to operate under the new organization designation authorization (ODA) program. Selling its Citation Williams FJ44 Eagle II program to Garrett Aviation Services frees Sierra Industries to refocus on developing additional modifications for Citations and other business jets, according to a company official. Sierra has already obtained about 300 STCs for Citation mods.

Sky Connect has obtained STCs for its equipment on the Bell 206 (B and L-1/3/4) and Sikorsky S-76 (A through C). The STCs include Sky Connect’s newest control head, called the mission-management unit. It provides flight crews with two-way text messaging and unlimited phone calls.
