Signature will provide “supervisory services” for ground handling and fuel coordination at the Changi location, which will be Signature’s second facility in Asia after the Hong Kong Business Aviation Center at Chek Lap Kok/Hong Kong International Airport.

Lufthansa Technik has opened an aircraft component pool storage facility in Singapore. According to the company, the expansion of services in the Asia-Pacific region gives customers enhanced service quality through faster provision times and a regional contact partner. The warehouse, which will be operated by Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services, is located near Changi International Airport, enabling swift delivery of aircraft components. In addition to the handling and storage of routine shipments, the facility will handle both AOG shipments and dangerous goods.

Philippines carrier Cebu Pacific is starting construction of a new heavy maintenance hangar at Clark International Airport (also known as Diosdado Macapagal International Airport). The facility, which is a joint venture with SIA Engineering (SIAEC), is due to open later this year, according to Garry Kingshott, advisor to the airline’s chief executive, who spoke with AIN at the Low Cost Airlines Asia conference here in Singapore last week.

Phase two of the government-sponsored redevelopment is nearly finished, and four companies that have moved into new facilities are showing them off to airshow visitors and local guests this week.
