The modified UH-60M with new executive cabin by Sabreliner is a far cry from the bare-bones military variant.

It was six years ago that Sabreliner decided to enter the helicopter modification business. The company has since found a growing niche market in UH-60M Black Hawk modification and cabin refurbishment, transforming these rough-and-tumble combat aircraft into luxurious executive transport for heads-of-state around the world.

The St. Louis-based company most recently delivered executive variants of the Black Hawk to the Royal Jordanian Air Force, bringing the total number of highly modified UH-60Ms to 11.

Royal Air Maroc Picks Snecma for CFM56-7 Mx
Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has chosen Snecma to maintain the CFM56-7B engines that power its Boeing 737s. The by-the-hour contract covers 36 aircraft, 26 of which RAM already operates, and runs until December 2018. Snecma Morocco Engine Services, a Snecma-RAM joint venture in Casablanca, will supply the service.

At the SOFEX special forces exhibition held at Amman in May, Jordan signed a letter of intent (LOI) to purchase the Boeing AH-6i light attack/reconnaissance helicopter, a modernized version of the tried and trusted Little Bird helicopter. Boeing has been showing off its demonstrator throughout the Middle and Far East since the type's first flight on September 16 and airshow debut at Dubai in November last year.

F-16Ds through foreign military sales (Peace Crown I) channels in 1987. They flew missions during Desert Storm in 1991.

Nine Eurocopter EC 635 helicopters supplied to the Royal Jordanian Air Force some two years ago have performed so well that the RJAF considering placing an additional order.  The original batch had been ordered and subsequently cancelled by the Portuguese military but have proved to be ideally suited to the tough climatic conditions in Jordan.

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has announced that it will modernize the 17 used F-16s that were previously provided to the Kingdom of Jordan by the U.S. This upgrade program will begin in April 2006 and will involve installation of Falcon-UP, Falcon Star and other Lockheed Martin mid-life upgrade (MLU) modifications of these aircraft.
